In the spring of 2022, I did a bible study for the Southern Prairie Spring Gathering for WELCA. As a part of the bible study, I asked the women to write an encouraging thought, devotion or their favorite bible verse on a fabric square. It took me a couple of years to get it put together. Our theme verse for that year was Philippians 4:12-13. "I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need". As I was thinking strong women, I chose 1930's prints to pair with the encouraging blocks. My only regret is that I did not have the women sign their blocks. I hope this brings someone as much joy as it did when I was putting it together.
