The title "For Betty & Bud" was chosen to honor our good friend and colleague Betty and her husband Wilbur "Bud" Dasenbrock.
This quilt was completed by members of the Lincoln Area Retired School Personnel Quilt Group. Betty volunteered and taught within the Lincoln Public School District for many years.
After retiring she became a member of LARSP and was instrumental in the formation of our 'quilters' group. Both Betty and Bud were committed volunteers for multiple agencies and valuable programs within NE. Carol Joy Holling Camp was one of their "special" projects as they could both provide their talents in different areas: Betty creating numerous quilts; Bud using his landscaping skills to make the CJH Camp and Conference Retreat Center a place of beauty.
The quilt is composed of twelve 24" blocks. Each block completed by an individual and then returned to complete the quilt. It took over a year.
