I went to the Tanzanian Fabric, Fun and Fact retreat by Mary Mayfield. The pattern she demonstrated was chandelier. I wanted mine to be queen sized and made a few extra blocks, so I incorporated them into my backing. At another retreat I found a piece of fabric from Senegal that a woman had found while helping clean up for an estate sale. The pieces worked with my Tanzanian blocks for my backing. Cindy Baird from North Bend graciously donated her time quilting the top for the quilt as this was a donation to the camp.
